JULY 11, 2001: One idea our Team plans to implement is one Sunday a month called "I care, I share" after Church. During this time we will hand out to needy people some basic food items, clothing and some basic medical supplies such as vitamins and sometimes, with assistance from our doctors, antibiotics, etc. Along with this we would appreciate if churches could send us kids clothing. We could do with good used kids clothing. Many kids have very inadequate clothing, especially in cold or wet weather or are wearing clothing that is worn-out and it would be great to receive some clothing to help supplement what we could exchange.
This "I care, I share" program though, for the most part, is going to be members sharing with one another. The better off members sharing with the poorer ones. The vitamins etc. are a bonus and clothing also could be treated like that.
We plan to hold our "I care, I share" Sunday once a month on the first Sunday of the month. Our first one will be on the first Sunday in August after the morning service..
